But Really, That’s Exactly What Happened

The day after Peter and the Starcatcher came to a close, I packed my bags (and my grandma’s car) in one night and left at 5am to fly away on a plane. Bless the weather and functioning aircrafts because there wasn’t a single delay! That was a huge relief because the minute I walked off the plane I called an uber, rode it straight to Santa Clara University, lugged my bags into Unity Commons, dropped them at my feet, I was greeted with a binder, and I went straight into a 3-hour meeting for LEAD. What a great and chill “welcome back” right? It sure elevated my heart rate!

Staff Meetings.

I had my first one for the LEAD program next year! To refresh the memory, I will be a LEAD Seminar Peer Educator next year with the LEAD First Generation program on campus. I am surrounded by the most diverse, sincere, and supportive group of people I know. Only being one step under the head of LEAD, Erin, is going to be amazing and I wouldn’t want anyone else in charge. I am so blessed and honored to be a part of the family during my time here as a student, and already one year later have the highest honor of giving back to younger LEAD scholars.

No, I wasn’t in the class whatsoever, but apparently the student’s final was to direct a scene. Duh. But! They needed actors so I spent my Wednesday and Thursday nights in rehearsal, and performed a pretty hilarious scene Friday afternoon! It was a good time to laugh and create something from the bottom up with my friends. It was a perfect way to end a crazy-hectic week of memorizing monologues and scenes for my acting final and writing 12 pages in another!
